The Golden Bracelet

This animation, The Golden Bracelet, is meant to showcase the power in accepting one’s self. The visual theme is referencing Chinese shadow puppetry, which is an ancient art.

To show this story, I originally wanted to use cut paper puppets. This would more accurately resemble the shadow puppetry art from. However, the puppets were not very visible through a paper screen, as seen on the right. So, I turned to After Effects and created the animation using shadow puppetry as the visual style instead of medium.
